What is the state of the project?

From my first attempt to use it, I faced incompatibility issues with the latest substrate versions and had to fork multiple crates to make it work. Now it seems I also need to use a forked version of Hermes, which is not ideal.

Is there any documentation or guides for integrating the crate with a substrate chain and cosmos?

Also, looking at the git history, the project seems stale.
