@tbeck , please let me know when you are available to talk about adding this dmarc record to the domain:
I did some digging into thos @ZiggyAtl . The reason that the shipping confirmation emails were not being sent is because the products are not set to be a physical product, and they do not need shipping. When an order is fulfilled, a shipping confirmation is only sent out if a product is being shipped with the order.
I think our solution here is to combine the two emails into one. If you can help draft up the copy for the one, combined email we can help format it in Shopify
@paulstroot are you sure about that? We didn't have a problem with the second email in the original version of the system, and I never had to mark products as non-physical. And recently when I manually fulfilled the orders the confirmations went out OK. I ran it by chatgpt and got the following;
Yes, Shopify can send a shipping confirmation email even if the products are marked as non-physical (e.g., digital products or services). However, the default behavior is tied to whether the order is fulfilled. Here's how it works and what you can do to ensure confirmation emails are sent:
DEFAULT BEHAVIOR FOR NON-PHYSICAL PRODUCTS Fulfillment Triggers Notifications: Shopify sends a shipping confirmation email whenever an order is marked as fulfilled, regardless of whether the products are physical or digital. Even if the product is not physical, as long as you mark the order as fulfilled, the email will be sent.
From Bill: Now that we're on comission.art I turned the option on in Order Processing to ‘Automatically fulfill the orders line items’ and to ’Notify customers of their shipment’ but I am still not getting the emailed receipt, although once the order is placed it does show as fulfilled in the order screen. Heads up the email was coming through OK when it was set to manually fulfill and I was processing them that way.
