Snap error when setting up new server #4

When I try to run the install script I get the following error:

Updating proxy
Sorry, home directories outside of /home are not currently supported.
See https://forum.snapcraft.io/t/11209 for details.
(23) Failed writing body
error: Error while retrieving waterfall version
error: Could not update server files

Running on a fresh install with:

snap    2.57.1
snapd   2.57.1
series  16
ubuntu  20.04
kernel  5.4.0-125-generic

I'm not sure what arcane system you are running on, but the minecraft user must be able to create a home directory under /var/lib/minecraft like many system services do. This seems to be unsupported by your installation, which is insane. Not much I can do unfortunately.

Fresh Ubuntu 20.04 LTS install from like 10 days ago .-. Quite confused why it doesn't want to work. I'll try upgrading to 22.
