Where's the background script? I only see the content script, it also needs to modify the request headers. Have you tested if this even works?

I tested it, and I can confirm that it doesn't seem to work.

Is there any restrictions in Safari that prevent this kind of extension to work for an extensive period of time ? If I recall correctly, uBlock Origin had a problem within YouTube in Safari. After installing the extension, it correctly blocked ads for several days then stopped working after.
