There is a new asset type called VirtualRelationalTable to represent tables managed through virtualization technology such as DeltaLake, Trino, ... This asset type inherits from InformationView and is documented here: https://egeria-project.org/types/2/0235-Information-View/
There is a new MetadataCollectionIterator in the Open Integration Framework to help an integration connector iterate through the elements in a metadata collection. This was possible before, but the iterator simplified the logic and structure in the integration connector.
The Open Integration Framework also supports working with PropertyFacets through an integration connector's context. PropertyFacets are used to attach technology/vendor specific properties to an element.
The Governance Action Framework now has native support for ExternalIdentifiers. This function has come from Asset Manager OMAS. By moving the support to the GAF, it is still available to Asset Manager OMAS (FVTs updated to prove this), and all other OMASs, and all OMISs and hence all integration connectors.
The integration daemon report include the GUID of the integration connector's entity to make it easier to find it to query the associated catalog targets (for @dwolfson).

Chamges already added to the release notes
Additional notes
The driver behind these changes is the Unity Catalog integration connector. This connector is still work in progress.
