By the way, these might be of use:

I am interested in immutable versions of content with metadata. Dat seems interesting, too.

I am not aware of any implementation of this or anything similar yet. However, I have proposed another similar idea based on trillian data structure used in certificate transparency logs a while ago that does not rely on a Blockchain.
