I would release the current status of the dev. There are features (especially the geometry processing for the optimisation) now for a while, that would be nice to be released.
I also think, especially in this early state of the package, we should stick to the principle release-often-release-early, so maybe this is overdue anyway ;-)
Also, at the moment, there are not any open PRs, that are almost done. And if somebody wants to add a feature, we can do next release, as soon as something is ready.
