I mostly do system admin/engineering stuff but I can code perl if that helps?

You can always use smokeping 2.x ... skills required for this project would be perl coding skills ...

What the goal of it? There is bunch of in-browser viz tools, implementing smokeping with them is somewhat easier probably. Why continue to struggle with perl and png dumping?

my main focus for smokeping currently is to rewrite the poling engine non blocking .. Using async mojolicious ... if only I had more free time ... or someone willing to spend $$$ on this ...
