As raised in #625 discussion, current README regards enabled=off configurations in descendant datasets as unsupported, although they work since 2018 or so (see #154).
Other fixes to the file answer to recent-ish Q&A sessions on Gitter or in issues here.
This change set is separate from further documentation specific to #625 and beyond (but would serve as a stepping stone for that).
