Main concern here is the radio codes for backpacks. Our servers have the codes disabled, but some servers could leave them onn by accident and have issues with their backpacks. Check the radio code in the ACE arsenal, see if there's any other ones that are independent, and as long as they don't have a higher capacity they should be fine to add
Current starting radio: TFAR_anprc155 and TFAR_anprc155_coyote Both 7.26kg load and 7.26kg weight 20000m range
Indy radios not already in starting gear: TFAR_anarc164 - 0.91kg load 7.26kg weight 40000m range B_RadioBag_01_eaf_F and B_RadioBag_01_digi_F - 3.63kg load 7.26kg weight 20000m range
Three lower weight lower capacity options: TFAR_rt1523g_green/fabric/sage 4.54kg load 5.44 weight 20000m range (west) TFAR_rt1523g_rhs 2.27kg load 3.63 weight 20000m range (west) TFAR_rt1523g 2.27kg load 3.63 weight 20000m range (west)
Is the requested change related to a problem?
The current starting radio backpacks are very heavy. Forcing squad leads to carry more weight. In certain mod sets (3CB mods) you can find better LR backpacks (more capacity, less weight) but not all.
Describe the solution you'd like.
Add the smaller TFAR backpacks to the initial rebel gear. Specifically the TFAR_rt1523g. It has much less capacity compared to the backpacks currently given, so there would be a tradeoff.
Alternative solutions
There are a few other backpack types added by TFAR, one of each might be nice
Additional context
Mostly relevant to the community servers where squad leaders are required to carry LR radios
