Currently the user is left hanging as to what happened, and in a lot of cases failure was due to using a wrong password format. It would go a long way if users were told what they did wrong so that they could self-remedy.
No, this is not practical and would not lead to anything actionable by the user.
We should not allow user to create config with forbidden values. We have tickets for that and that's the way forward
