"piboxinstaller timeout" is raised if qemu process didn't output anything during 3 minutes.

"starting LSB: Set console font and keymap" took 1h11min 59s. which is surprising

also this is the second boot of QEMU, the first one succeeded.

What is the added value to have a timeout of 3 minutes - instead of no timeout at all?

rgaudin commented 4 years ago

In GitLab by @thiolliere on Jul 17, 2017, 12:21

during the boot (and only during the boot until the ssh connection) I wait for login prompt.

in some cases qemu can stay forever (for example if something is broken linux can boot but in rescue mode and so doesn't prompt login)

It is just to avoid this kind of situation. however this timeout can be expanded.

pibox-installer for OSX seems to work fine meanwhile to me...
