Upgrade all dependencies

Rationale

Fix #73

Changes

• upgrade all dependencies, for both frontend (Node.JS) and backend (Python)
• remove type alias usage in backend/dev_tools/synthetic_data.py which does not work anymore in 3.12
• rewrite of type alias following introduction of PEP 695
• remove the event_loop fixture which is not needed anymore + won't work anymore soon
• mark one fixture as async (was missing)
