@rgaudin To which extend could/should we reuse what OLIP has already done?
No part of OLIP is reusable easily AFAIK. Their feedback and experience could be use to write basic specs though
@rgaudin Would be great to be able to have this feature in a pretty modular app @letompouce @bastien-BSF Any thoughts about your own system of bookmark/readinglist?
If OLIP uses such a system then I'm not aware of it. I'll let @letompouce answer this one.
Indeed https://github.com/go-shiori/shiori seems interesting.
I used to play a bit with Shiori and similar tools - although I prefer Shaarli for my personal usage. Such tools are a breeze to package in OLIP, however this would be an other tool in the stack, with no integration with the main user interface - thus requiring more explanations and training.
OLIP has playlists which allow an user to reference any content, local or remote.
I am also doubtful about the practicability of any tool that's not integrated. Even OLIP's playlists which has the best UX of those is cumbersome and time consuming.
The best UX is the browser though… maybe we should brainstorm again a dedicated extension that would solve discovery, bookmarks and all… at the expense of an initial install step (not sure if modern browsers still allow out-of-store extensions though without warnings)
There's always the possibility of embedding the whole hotspot into some chrome…

It would be helpful if reading lists/bookmarks list could be setup within the Kiwix Hotspot. This would for example a allow a teacher to share a list of document with his students.
This requirement appears during discussion about the ultimate Ebook library project with Stevens Students.
