Changed from Googlemail to gmail, now get message 'Device not registered for user.' #295

Please answer the questions about build version and network, will save
developers a lot of time !

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Sending link to phone
2.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expected to see website pop up on phone and something like 'link sent' on the 
PC (sender) browser

What version of the android, in Settings -> About phone -> Build number (
ex. FRFxx ) ? If less than FRF50 - see the FAQ.

Is the phone using WiFi or mobile network when problem occurs ? If Wifi,
are you behind a firewall that blocks outgoing connections ?
Was working regardless of this before change

Can you open "Gmail" application ? Do you see new messages without hitting
'refresh' ?
Yes, gmail application shows googlemail account, can't delete this account on 
phone

Can you open "Talk" application ? Do you see incoming chats ?
Talk app opens and says I am available, I don't use it so I dont have incoming 
chats.

Please provide any additional information below.

Same issue found on mobile.. Galaxy 3 GT5801 (android v2.2)

I have a similar issue. After Google offered German users to switch from 
googlemail.com to gmail.com, I ran into this problem. The google account on my 
phone is still displayed as "xxx@googlemail.com" and cannot be changed....but I 
guess Chrome2Phone somehow has trouble connecting with this account information.
