can't sign in though already connected from phone, signed into account

Please answer the questions about build version and network, will save
developers a lot of time !

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.Trying to sign in to chrome to phone on pc
2.
app says pc and phone are connected, pc extension says not signed in. 
when trying to sign in (yet again, Im already signed into google dashboard, 
etc) I'm redirected to a site that NEVER loads. 

So.......chrome to phone as well as firefox to phone are now worthless.
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?

What version of the android, in Settings -> About phone -> Build number (
ex. FRFxx ) ? If less than FRF50 - see the FAQ.

Is the phone using WiFi or mobile network when problem occurs ? If Wifi,
are you behind a firewall that blocks outgoing connections ?

Can you open "Gmail" application ? Do you see new messages without hitting
'refresh' ?

Can you open "Talk" application ? Do you see incoming chats ?

Please provide any additional information below.

Actually, I'll just use dropbox from now on, so problem solved
