The prompter's overlay window I'm using to display visual cues on the screen and define widget appearances is not clickable in windows at the moment. I'll first try to give it a semitransparent (instead of wholly transparent) background.
If the overlay window doesn't end up working for capturing input at all I'll move to using the watcher. If it doesn't end up working to display visual cues either (highlight found widget on screen, for example), I may end up removing the overlay entirely. However, I'm optimistic it will still be usable for now.
