CRON job for updates fails to push #14

I keep finding the data updated and committed locally but not pushed to github on mondays. Why?

It is the knitr issue again... Execution stops at rmarkdown::render

So rendering works. The md output is clearly produced correctly. The execution just stops after that. I could fix this by splitting the scripts but why do I need to do this to begin with?

render_github's html preview could not access the cran badge for some reason. disabling the preview solved the issue
