The following are steps:

• Take a single melody
• Chomsky analyze it to get the DAG
• Reconstruct randomly each leaf, or maybe also other notes elsewhere

Therefore a new composition is constructed with the same deep structure but very different surface. Deep structure and surface are Bernstein's terms from 1974 lectures.

Inspiration is "Ode to Joy". Think about what melody "Ode to Joy" can transform into by this process.

• Re-shuffle notes
• Re-shuffle rhythm
