Incorrect text positioning when fractional scaling is enabled. #53

Good evening.

Found a problem on my mom's desktop PC when running Zoom for the first time. Text is positioned incorrectly: above the text fields, not inside them. See on a screenshot: text_positioning_125%

This is because of fractional scaling enabled (125%). I also reproduced this behavior on virtual machine: no problems with 100% scaling, problem exists with 125% scaling. Is there any workaround/solution that could be implemented while keeping 125% display scaling?

OS: Kubuntu 20.04.1 LTS with further updates installed. Zoom: 5.4.1 53350.1027 (snap), installed via Discovery.

Same here. Previous snap versions doesn't showed this behaviour.

Xubuntu 20.10 zoom-client 5.4.53350.1027

hmm, strange, i do not see this in a gnome session with 125% scaling ...

the zoom snap launcher does some scaling detection itself, i could add some setting to turn this off, but you will most likely have to live with a very tiny unscaled UI then ...

could both of you please attach ~/snap/zoom-client/current/.zoom/logs/zoom-terminal.log and ~/snap/zoom-client/current/.zoom/logs/zoom_stdout_stderr.log

I have this same problem as well as I have set my text size to large in the accessibility settings. I'll send you my log as well. Thanks.
