There seem to be known issues with Qt based snaps on manjaro and fontconfig, i assume your issue is related to:
Yeah, I do seem to be getting similar output. So if I understand the thread you've linked to correctly, there isn't much that can be done then?
well, try the slack snap as well ... if that exposes the same issue then it actually is a problem on the snapd side (and will likely happen with more desktop snaps)...
i wouldnt say there isnt much that can be done ... but the fix has to happen in snapd. it isnt an application specific problem that i could fix inside the snap ...
i just tested with a user on the forum, seemingly re-generating the font cache on the host machine helps for some users:
sudo rm /var/cache/fontconfig/*
rm ~/.cache/fontconfig/*
fc-cache -r
Indeed, regenerating the font cache worked for me!
https://github.com/ogra1/zoom-snap/commit/9611e73632634065e6d3e3789e0d99708ba6b519 should fix this for good now ...
did it fix it?
it surely did fix that particular issue at the time ... but it could indeed have introduced new ones (which i haven't yet heard of though)
hmmm
I can't start the application, even though I've connected all the interfaces required.
I checked the logs but they weren't really useful to me:
I then checked
journalctl
and found a bunch of AppArmor denials, which I think could be the cause of the issue. I'm not really familiar with snap or AppArmor, so I'm kind of at a loss:I'm running Manjaro on 5.6.3-2.
