BIDS: a data standard to support the neuroimaging community

By Guiomar Niso, Universidad Politecnica de Madrid

Abstract

The Brain Imaging Data Structure (BIDS) is a community-led standard for organizing, describing and sharing neuroimaging data. Currently it supports numerous neuroimaging modalities: MRI, MEG, EEG, iEEG, and will soon support PET. Multiple applications and converters have been released to make it easy for researchers to incorporate BIDS into their current workflows and to maximise data sharing opportunities (for example through OpenNeuro). This talk will share an overview of the BIDS current status and next stage of development. All OHBM participants will be invited to share their priorities during the talk discussion.
