We have Google Analytics but why not also do Matomo.

I think we should then replace google analytics completely with matomo per default.

in the long run I'd like to move the analytics part to a module to be able to configure it at runtime

We could do a thing where people can embed their own JS snippets if they need but I think the official support should be for Matomo

matomo should be configurable -> either by ENV or as a Server Setting
