Portal bugs #14

Open grmayfie opened 7 years ago

grmayfie commented 7 years ago

Hey team,

Some help would be really appreciated to find all the errors that exist in the portal. Lots of pairs of eyes are better than one. Please comment here is any issues you can find in the portal.

Known issues:

Both of these are permissions issues, that happen when the user doesn't have access to specific liver projects.

Release page (Same behavior on https://dms-dev.compbio.ohsu.edu/releases) image

Merri:

Text above the pie charts is cut off at the top on the Advanced search page. This is on both the donors and mutations tabs - only happens at certain sizes.

Also, the tutorials on the homepage fail.

"Amazon" link in the footer does nothing

screen shot 2017-02-01 at 8 00 53 am

Same for "Collaboratory"

Do the footer links even apply to us? Maybe we're intending to replace the footer with something more OHSU specific.

buchanae commented 7 years ago

Pressing the "enter" key after entering my login information does nothing. Possibly related to my OHSU login being denied with "Invalid domain/user/password(401)"

Just curious, is there going to be public data, or are we going to redesign the anonymous user experience? Most of the site is broken when you're not logged in.

Hey Alex, thanks for your input. I really appreciate it.

In answer to your question, that really is something we haven't even begun to discuss yet. I definitely don't thing we want to leave the anonymous user experience as is, but we don't yet know want we're planning to do instead.
