Meta issue: Status of Connectbot development

Connectbot was the obvious choice when I got my first Android (a HTC Desire), 
but very little development has happened since then. The project started to 
move in the end of last year, but I'm not sure where this is going. I have 
(just) switched to a Samsung Galaxy S3 where ConnectBot crashes a couple of 
times each day, the lack of a track ball makes up and down (arrow) movement 
hard and it's still difficult to select text.

Currently we got "VX ConnectBot" http://connectbot.vx.sk/ with some 
enhancements and other non-ConnectBot based tools. I would like to continue to 
use ConnectBot and support the development, but I would like to know what the 
status. Thx for any info.

I'd like to show the same concern. When I think about SSH and Android, I think 
ConnectBot. Last week I got a Note 2 and today, when I was trying to copy a 
password from Gmail to ConnectBot, I missed the Samsung multi Window support, 
so I went here to report an issue and most likely provide a patch to implement 
this support. I was disappointed when I saw the number of issues opened, many 
of them with patches, without answer. 
I don't know how this open source project works, but let a project go like this 
is a pitty. You owners should either migrate to a closed source approach, 
accept more committers or pass the control of the project to others. I offer 
myself to help in case you want help.
