That's just fked...
Hi @timnolte, Sorry to hear about the recent issues. Would it be possible to continue development of the plugin here on GitHub? This plugin has been highly valuable to our team and clients, and I would be happy to contribute some time to its development. Let me know your thoughts.
Thanks!

@singatias thanks for flagging this. I've deleted that post.
Update (2024-11-01: The new fork of the plugin has now been published, with the ability to install manually, via the Git Updater plugin, or via Composer. You can find it here with the installation details:
https://github.com/forumone/openid-connect-wp-dist
Be aware that since we needed to ensure that there weren't unintentional conflicts with the existing plugin the settings configuration will not currently seamlessly migrate to the new plugin. This might be something we include soon though in order to more easily migrate our own clients to our version.
As Jonathan and I have discussed the scope of what he is willing to add to the plugin here, that will be the source for the version on WordPress.org, will more than likely be significantly reduced. The new plugin will also not be taking on new features unless it is something deemed necessary. We will however look to address bugs as needed, and certainly address security related items in coordination with Jonathan.
Update (2024-10-16): I have been in contact with @daggerhart and there is a transition happening. The scope of enhancements that will be considered will be changning, and the process of how on-going maintenance is handled will be changing. I am currently working on a sort upstream fork that will provide a more limited level of on-going bugfix support for the plugin. That will also provide alternative sources and methods for installing the plugin beyond WordPress.org. More details should be available in the coming week.
As many know there is an ongoing conflict going on in the WordPress world between WP Engine & Automattic. As a result of this conflict there has been a lot of collateral damage. As it would happen I work for an agency that is a partner agency with WP Engine. Recent changes at WordPress.org now make it essentially unethical for me to manage the plugins that I do and provide updates. I am now effectively banned as a developer for my plugins on WordPress.org as well as contributing to WordPress Core.
