We already created a human version of the main text, and now we need to translate the document to english readers.

Check "Texto Atualizado" at http://www2.camara.leg.br/legin/int/atomes/2009/atodamesa-43-21-maio-2009-588364-norma-cd-mesa.html for the original text.

Hello, I'm new to the project and would like to start contributing. I thought this might be a good issue to start with. Could you help me by giving some directions? Thanks!

Hi @hnm2 sure thing! It is awesome that you want to do this! We have a tl;dr of CEAP's "Ato de mesa" that is here, that is in Portuguese. That document was created so we could improve our understanding of the law that guides congresspeople reimbursements. It would be a good thing if we had an English version of if in a markdown too. Also it would be nice to check if there were any changes since the first version of this document was made. So, to-do list:

AFAIK this is pretty much it.

Feel free to use this issue to discuss any further doubts.

Almost finished. By the way, which translation you use for "Deputado"? I looked at the code and found "congress person", but I'm not sure of it.

This is awesome! We use, congress person for "deputado" and congress people for "deputados ;)
