This is a phone feature - a web app or site can't override the user's choice, for privacy, security, agency reasons, etc.
Thanks @pwalsh. Feared as much but pretty bad UX that the user isn't given the option to change their mind (or easily fix this if they click on the wrong option).
During a user workshop in Tanzania, a mobile user tried to use the 'Use current location' functionality in the survey form and clicked 'Refuse' by mistake when asked if he would share his location. Despite refreshing the survey form after that, the user's choice was remembered and he was unable to change his mind and to allow the use of his current location. Specific to particular phone model?
