OpenDataSites repo vs this one for the data #63

Now that we are storing the authoritative CSV here i think we should:

EITHER: deprecate and delete https://github.com/okfn/opendatasites and have everything here

OR move the data out of this repo to their and have this load from there.

Any preferences or thoughts on what is better @mattfullerton @Stephen-Gates

My sense is that former is easier right now - whilst latter is a bit cleaner (and people can edit the data without having to get confused by all the webapp stuff)

Don't mind at present. My immediate thought is go with what's easiest to accelerate to transition. I don't understand what you mean by,

whilst latter is a bit cleaner (and people can edit the data without having to get confused by all the web app stuff

Are you suggesting that people could edit data without needing to learn GitHub or use the Google Sheet?

rufuspollock commented 8 years ago

@Stephen-Gates re the latter the point would be the repo would just be the data and a README whilst in this repo we have the entire webapp as well which can be confusing for people (e.g. we have to point people specifically to the data directory).

@rgrp Agree the later is cleaner. I'll leave it up to you.
