Note the currying of the two German translations that has been done in the past #170
DE AT is the only country-specific translation, and I'm open to hearing your opinions, as to whether or not merging the German translations is a good idea - CC @StephenAbbott @the42 @smth @blutz3 @tlacoyodefrijol @kant @mandyr @hcorinna
@loleg @hcorinna I would be happy to merge the two translations if that makes sense to others. I'm not much of a linguist so don't have expertise in making this decision.
A French translation is separately being worked on by a group of people who I am in email contact with.
Your improvements look great @hcorinna and are all accepted - thanks @StephenAbbott !
This broke the build, see: https://github.com/okfn/opendataday/issues/257
I've removed the Austrian (DE AT) translation after a careful merge with the German (DE) text. Except for the word "Grassnarbeninitiative", there were no significant stylistic differences. References to Austrian data resources were kept, but I removed the link to the inaccessible mailing list. I have also made other minor corrections to closely match to the English original, filling in a few missing translations. Note that I have kept the configuration in
project.lektorproject
in hope that links to the de_at version do not break. This PR also adds a basic translation of the French text.
In both cases the website should be checked by a native speaker.
