The Open Data Editor (ODE) is a no-code application to explore, validate and publish data in a simple way. Forever free and open source project powered by the Frictionless Framework.
Main buttons placement: right now, the ADD, DELETE and MANAGE buttons are located at the bottom of the app. This makes the tool not intuitive for users:
We also need to review the options for each button and colour.
ICONS: For the stable version, the ODE will describe and validate tabular data. In this sense, we expect the user to open/upload csv and Excel files. However, some data publishers (CKAN community) can upload folders with a lot of files. We need to review the icons used in each case. When the application was created, the OKFN used icons from MUI.

Folders:
Secondary buttons in the app: They are currently located at the top of the tool (upper right corner). This location is not working since the tools highlight these buttons over the upload and file management options.
Review the "No files selected" feature: See issues #403
Description and validation: This is the most complex part. As mentioned in our conversation, we ran a survey to try to understand how users describe in plain language both features. In addition, these functions are connected to the ODE workflow, so we will also need to make some decisions in terms of how we show these options to users. For instance: maybe it makes sense to have the VALIDATE button (with another name), but the data description (key info about the data: number of columns, type of fields, etc.) can be produced automatically.
