So we can explain what we expect that will happen

Consult with GovData Alliance about their experiences

Relevant learnings from other indicators:

Why we need assessments that prioritize context, ownership and best-fit http://www.globalintegrity.org/2016/03/toward-governance-assessments-2-0/

Governance (or results) data is more likely to have an impact if it adheres to the following principles:

Global Integrity calls this "Governance Assessments 2.0"

“Governance Assessments 2.0” — assessments that prioritize context, ownership and best-fit governance approaches over the prevailing orthodoxy of cross-country comparability and presumed best practice.

Problem: "Striking the right balance between aligning assessments with ongoing country priorities and allowing for cross-country comparability is a formidable challenge"

Revisit GODI's Theory of Change:

Does the availability of governance data, generated through externally-driven assessments translate into better open data publication?

Fact: We only have anecdotal knowledge how government uses the Index.

To broaden our evidence-base we invite civil society and governments to comment. What is useful, what is not?

I collected some real world example from the forum - https://docs.google.com/document/d/1WfeDoKwWYj_F1AaNm2bXzP4CqPVYwPYciU3iLR1vLgM/edit

That should help to write the blog post of the launch!
