i press enter on sign in and nothing happens

Same here. Looks like tidal-cli is not maintained anymore. He should delete those bitcoin links as the software is rubbish - I wouldn't pay a penny

same here

nickyspag commented 4 years ago

also can't sign in. tried editing -/.config/tidal-cli-client/credentials.json manually also does not work. I see ravenException (is that Sentry?) which means our passwords might be going somewhere...

elsell commented 4 years ago

I can also confirm this behavior on Ubuntu 20, although ~/.config/tidal-cli-client only contains app.json after pressing sign in.

Cyber5imon commented 4 years ago

Same here... Anyone figure out the format for the credentials.json file? We may be able to create that to bypass the login screen.

tilltnet commented 4 years ago

Looks like Tidal has made changes to the login procedure and there currently seems to be no way around using the official app or the web player. Other projects as MPD and Strawberry are reporting similar issues.

With strawberry I was able to login using the android key from here - but this will probably not last long!

@HaurumiToru Your comment is inappropriate! Don't bring such a vile attitude to any open source project please.

If we, the users, want to help the developers of the open source solutions for tidal, the best we can do is get in contact with the tidal support and let them know, that this is important to us!
