Cannot resume from 'List Of Recent Apps' on a Samsung Galaxy s2 without a restart

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. start a game
2. exit the game
3. Tap and hold the capacitive Home hard button to bring up the device's 'List 
Of Recent Apps'
4. Select Androminion from the list of up to 6 apps 

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Androminion is loaded with the menu screen
If you open the app any other way (e.g. tapping its icon on the home screen) 
it'll resume from the point in the game that you left off

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v4.01;  Android 2.3.6;  Samsung Galaxy s2 (Tmobil version)

Please provide any additional information below.
There's a perfectly easy workaround for this, but if it's easy enough to fix, 
then all the better
