SparkLine by OKViz has stopped working #394

Visual

Sparkline

Is there an existing issue for this?

Current Behavior

I have been using the Sparkline visual and the stakeholders are very happy with it. Today, all of my Sparklines have suddenly turned blank.

I have rebooted my laptop but the issue remains. I have then opened previous versions from days ago (in case I had inadvertently made an error in the Data Model) and they were definitely working before but they also now appear blank. I did not run a Refresh on the data in the earlier versions so the data is a frozen snapshot.

If I swap the visual and use Multi KPI 2.2.1 instead, a graph appears so I think that this rules out any data issues. I then swap back and nothing appears.

The Power BI Report I published to the tenant a week ago still displays the Sparklines correctly so I am having the problem in Power BI Desktop.

I am using these versions: PowerBI: Version: 2.131.901.0 64-bit (July 2024) Sparklines by OKViz: 1.1.3

Do I need to buy a licence? I probably installed it about 30 days ago so maybe a trial version has expired but I thought Sparklines wasn't a premium product.

I'd really appreciate any guidance on this.

Thanks, Peter

I can't select fields and the visual is blank/

Anything else?

The ZIP files contains a pbix file that demonstrates that other visuals can present the data successfully.

Is it possible that the latest version of Power BI (July 2024) may have caused this issue?

It's a recent known issue with several custom visuals caused by WebView2. Microsoft is aware of that and they are working to fix it.

Hi Daniele, Thank you for the swift and helpful response. I wasn't aware of the WebView2 issue and I have limited ability to change much as I don't have an admin account.

I've raised a call with IT support so hopefully I'll hear back next week and let you know how I get on.

Thanks again.
