Implement a patch change control. #5

We need to be able to control the patch. It is still undecided as to whether patch changes will be a dynamic operation, or the patch will be statically set per channel.

Patches will be static.

Due to complications with Gtk2, this will probably not occur until a switch to Gtk3.
