Changing locale to JP so that some JP only games can run

Would love to know if it's possible to change the locale so that games that specifically needs JP locale can run.

Tried using

LC_ALL=ja_JP.utf8

But it only keeps the settings in that session.

Restarting brings it back. Also there are 3 errors
