Where can I download a static library build of this? Thanks.

I do not publish binary packages yet. You can build from sources. You either run ./bootstrap and then there will be a configure script, or there are MSVC projects you could import if you want it for Windows. If you encounter any problems building, comment here and I'll try to help.
