Try the seq66 project. It is based on Kepler34 (and Seq24 and Sequencer64 and Seq32) and also uses Qt heavily. It supports ALSA, JACK transport and JACK MIDI, or portmidi/ALSA on Linux. It is still in active development. Disclaimer: It is my project! See https://github.com/ahlstromcj/seq66
I like this program, it's easy to work with and it looks modern although simplistic, but it has a problem. I don't know if this is the place to write about it, but it's really difficult to work with midi and JACK. I had to use a2jmidid, which is not a very elegant solution (and even though it's incompatible with jack freewheeling rendering using cadence-render, for example). Could jack midi be implemented?
