I documented how to generate the documentation locally to the README.

Hmm... this is general Rust advise that applies to any crate. Is it really useful to include in this crate's README?

Yes you are technically correct. Even though I know it I caught myself looking at docs.rs. It won't hurt to point out how to build the docs.

I don't have a strong opinion on this, so I'm gonna merge since at minimum you believe it to be useful.
