Further updates #25

As promised, here are some further updates, bringing the crate to 2018 edition, updating itertools, and fixing up the docs URL to use docs.rs.

After this, it's time to make some functionality updates :grin:

Please also update the Travis script to stop generating docs

I apologise for now long that took for me to get done. I left the generation of docs in, in case that fails, but removed the upload. I trust that's what you meant.

Yea that makes sense. We still want to know whether the docs build correctly
