I cannot provide this as my decision on buying this scale depends on the support of openScale :wink:

beurer HealthManager Pro can be used without account and without internet.

Therefore no additional value from this app, issue closed.

The app runs without an online account for most scales, but to add the scale BF 980 a online account is required. Or did anybody find a workaround?

@2D-Flake I own the scale myself and can confirm it's possible to install the app and use it without being logged in, so the data is stored locally on only this single device.

Only downside is, no backups or sync between devices but that's the price for the additional privacy :wink:

@jokay Thank you for replying. A price I would gradly pay for privacy;) When I try to add the BF980 this pops up: signal-2023-09-07-110518

Deleting the online account removes the device pairing. How did you manage to pair the BF980 without an online account? Getting to where you are would be awesome!

My workaround now is NetGuard and blocking the internet access of the app.

No idea, may be the existing account(s) were not affected or they may have indeed changed the workflow.

As I no longer use the scale, I can't say for sure :wink:
