By "white space replacing them with the same dimensions", you mean it looks like the screencap that you linked?
Yes
Could you please upload a pic of the errors on the page (the red x in the top right of the browser)?
Not showing anything red this time, just yellow.
An update was released, can you visit the chrome store link in the readme to ensure it was updated on your browser, and try youtube.com again? Thank you for your help
Sure, I will keep helping as long as you need. It's a really important feature that you are implementing and I really support this project.
The 0.1.5 update makes the grey placeholders appear, but it doesn't display the vids yet.
EDIT: Yes I am updated to 0.1.5, yes I am logged in to the extension, yes I refreshed, yes adblockers are OFF.
Thank you we appreciate that a lot! The screen cap you sent displays the not logged in panel, that left once you signed in, correct?
Erm, no. That little message appears maybe 20% of the time when I refresh. Yes I have been signed in the whole time.
We're having issues reproducing this behaviour, to ensure that everything is correct could you sign out and sign in again?
Yeah. It's absolutely consistent on my end but I understand your trouble reproducing. I can see the vids pop up for a split second, I'm serious. But then there is just white, like it goes transparent or there is a white overlay.
EDIT: Nevermind, it's just the lower videos appearing then getting shoved down. I am skeptical that the videos show up at all.
Do you always get the My subscriptions panel with the grey loading placeholders, or does that also not load sometimes?
Grey placeholders currently appearing upon each refresh, but I remember a bit ago they weren't appearing.
I've tested it on a machine running windows 7, windows 10 and mac os, and still cannot reproduce the behavior. Could you go to this page
Select the background page link for the FreeMyTube extension (if the link isn't present, click on the developer mode toggle on the right of the browser) Visit youtube.com with the extension signed in. Are there any errors that show up on the background page once youtube is loaded? They would be at the top right of the background page, a red x.
Thanks again for your help.
Yeah a few errors.
Thank you that helped a lot! Can you update the extension and let us know if it persists?
Ok here's an update with some new information that might help and will certainly add clarity to your efforts.
I signed in with an entirely seperate, unused old Google account and the addon is now working like a champ (see first screenshot). Looks good! First time I've seen it in action. This is exactly how youtube should work. This could be a big addon, so congrats and good work.
Let me explain my theory for the problem we have been facing. I have a second YouTube creator channel under my primary email (see screenshot 2). I nearly forgot about it since I don't use the other one. I am not sure how this affects the response of the API but it seems to clog up your program for some reason. I have tried every combination of logging into my primary and secondary youtube channel on the website/addon and none of them work.
Here is what the login flow looks like FYI (screenshot 3/4).
You might consider this use case since many people have this on their google account. otherwise I get if it just adds random chaos to your efforts and skipping it.
EDIT FOR CLARITY: my garret@khougaz.com channel is the unused address that works 100% with your addon, and the gkoogz@gmail.com address has the two channels underneath it.
Thanks for the extra screen shots! I think we've narrowed down on the issue finally, we are able to reproduce your problem. We published an update once again. The multiple channels under the same account should be covered, but if the problem persists we will look into that branch.
Aww, still not quite working on my end. Here's the errors.
Screenshot one is the background page of the extension and screenshot two is the inspect pane on youtube.com.
This appears to be a different bug from the last picture you sent, so we are moving forward! Could you please update and then copy the link in the background page error, i.e. the www.googleapis.com/ Thank you!
Perfect, my requests were too large. I pushed an update.
I see the staggered pulls. Nice! I did that with my API pulls at my website https://mer.gd. But still no dice. :(
{ "error": { "errors": [ { "domain": "global", "reason": "authError", "message": "Invalid Credentials", "locationType": "header", "location": "Authorization" } ], "code": 401, "message": "Invalid Credentials" } }
Here's a few error messages.
Nice job with mer.gd! must have been a lot of work to integrate all of the APIs. Can you try logout and back in of the extension?
This extension almost works but it doesn't.
When I go to YouTube (no ad block and yes i signed in to your extension), the vids appear for a very split second then they disappear with a white space replacing them with the same dimensions.
If it helps you narrow it down, upon inspecting the elements all of the ID's and Classes end in "-loading" such as #subPanel-loading #thumbnail-items-loading .thumbnail-item-loading even after many minutes it's obviously not in a loading state.
EDIT: Yes my screencap has my adblock enabled but the issue persists either way.
