As the readme has always stated, this project was a derived work of gSkewer which is licensed under the GNU GPLv3 License. Unfortunately when I created this repository I erroneously licensed this project under MIT but as a derivative work it should have also been licensed under GNU GPLv3.
I hope to rectify this now by re-licensing this project under the correct license from v1.5.0.
For the sake of transparency, I will pin this issue and highlight the license change in the README and the release notes for v1.5.0.
