Messages occasionally parsed as single characters #1

Seems to be final character of the text. E.g. 'string' being recorded as 'string'[-1]

On 1.2.0, 6 logs out of 53 were parsed this way on the first run through. These 6 were then parsed again, using the unchanged parse_logs() method, and 5 were parsed correctly. The remaining log was passed to parse_logs() (again, unchanged) once more and this time was parsed correctly.
