sonar sensor #444

Hi 
I'm using APM2
and now I want to add  XL-MaxSonar EZ0 to avoide collision.But I don't know is 
there a relation fomular beetwen the velocity of my quadrotor and the distance 
to obstacle? If my quad rotor flying at 30km/h,and the distance to obstacle is 
1 meter,collision won't happened?

To the best of my understanding, at this time Arducopter does not support SONAR 
for collision avoidance, but only for altitude reporting and control at 
altitudes below 26 feet.

There is ongoing discussion regarding adding anti collision and object 
detection SONAR capability but it hasn't been implemented yet.
