Once a filter string is entered, the current case defaults to nothing after about a half hour

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.  Take a version that has no filters
2.  Create a filter which selects only some of the cases
3.  Clear the filter by putting "" in the search string so it brings back 
all cases
4.  Go back to "I'm on" and select a case that isn't included in the list 
you originally filtered for
5.  Wait about a half hour

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
I expect it to keep working on the same case.  What happens is that it 
switches to working on nothing

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
1.3.2.185

Where is that 30 minute period coming from, I'm having a hard time figuring 
out...

There's nothing in the system that runs each 30 minutes, so I can't think what 
could be 
resetting the active case (except the server itself). Did you by any chance 
change the 
polling interval from the default 10 minutes to 30 minutes?
