I have found that z elevations get lost when I bend contour lines using translation 1 pair and thought that I should make a note of this phenomenon. I have not tried the other transforms to see if it also happens there.
I am using QGIS 3.10.4 with the contour lines in a Geopackage using EPSG 3586 after importing from a DXF.
