Hi,
thank you for reporting. Can you try to find a sequence of commands that ever crash BORIS? It should be very useful to understand the problem.
Otherwise if BORIS crashes randomly without selecting commands the problem may be due to your OS.
Thank you

I am having an issue similar to what other users have described before: the software closes randomly, without any warning message and without saving what I'd be working on until the point of crash. So far it happened while trying to configure ethograms or when trying to close an observation, although there is not clear pattern to it. I am using the 7.1.4 setup version on Windows 10, 64 bit. Any idea on how to fix this? Thanks in advance!

Hello,
you can download the debug version of BORIS (for Win64) on the Download BORIS for Microsoft-Windows page. It is a portable version that does not require installation. Please report me the content of the command prompt after crash.
Thank you for your collaboration
Hello, Thanks for your replies and apologies for not getting back to you! I got the chance to do some more coding and the software actually worked very well overall. The only command that seemed to reliably crash it was clicking "yes" on the dialog box asking to fix unpaired events at the end of an observation, but this was easily overcome once I made sure I paired all events before ending the observation. Also, the software occasionally freezes after scrolling backwards and forwards through videos, although I suspect this could be because of the video files. I'll bear in mind the debug version as an option if I encounter other problems. Thanks again!
Hi,
in order to fix this problem (crash after yes to fix unpaired events) I need the output of the command prompt of the debug version. Thank you for your collaboration
