So you tried to delete the BORIS configuration file without results? Did you also tried to use the Refresh button in the Preferences? I don't know well how Parallel works to store the configuration files.
Another system you can try to try to use BORIS on Mac is UTM (see the BORIS web site)

7 months ago Hello, Thank you for your answer. Unfortunately I've tried everything. I also downloaded BORIS on my partner's PC, in both Windows versions. It's the same: the "event" widget is no longer there.

3 months ago I had the same issue. For me, it worked to reload a relatively old file. I am using relative paths for the videos, and they didn't even exist anymore in the folder. That seemed to reset the program and fix the issue.

3 months ago Did you delete all the .boris configuration file versions (maybe Parallels store a copy of .boris under the Mac file system?) Close BORIS before deleting the .boris configuration file

Describe the bug The "event" widget has disappeared suddenly ! I made several observations throughout the evening and everything was find. And before my very eyes, the event widget closed. I was never able to open it or find it again. Just after clicking on start for a new observation, the ethogram, video, list of subjects and event disappear in a fraction of a second. When I right-click, I see that the 'event' widget isn't ticked but it's impossible to do so (it's greyed out, like the rest of the widgets). All I can do is click on the tool bar, to make it appear and disappear. I've followed the recommendations in the FAQ, but there's no resolution. I ended up deleting everything (including my project), and starting again... The problem persists. So I can't change any comments, or make any new ones. How can I make the widget appear again, please? Impossible to work without... Thank you for helping my thesis !

Expected behavior Have the widget "event" back no make observations.
